Christmas Decor

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some of my favorite pieces of decor for Christmas with you all. I LOVE Christmas; It is my absolute favorite. I go all out. Our first year of marriage I went crazy Christmas decor shopping and Brendan got little worried that every year would be like that, haha. But luckily, I slowed down, pick up sale items at the end of the season, reuse, and continue adding on to my decorative collection.

One thing that I have been doing more recently is switching out our pillows in our living room according to the season or holiday. Here are some Christmas pillows that are available on Wayfair’s website that were super reasonable and cute. There are also some examples above and below you can browse through. You don’t even need to buy a lot of them to spice things up, I just have three of them that I switch out for fall, winter, and spring.

I also have a simple, pretty centerpiece for the dining room table. I just use this decorative bowl (that I usually have apples in for the year) and for the holidays I like to place these decorative pods in them. You could use any large clear vase or bowl to do this.

Here are some examples of how little pieces of decor spread randomly throughout the house make the home warm and welcoming for the holidays.

Next, our monogrammed Christmas stockings and tree skirt are our favorites and are from Pottery Barn. You can get all of this on sale at numerous times throughout the year. There are even sales going on right now. The Christmas tree skirt was a wedding gift and is my personal favorite. I also love these stocking holders from Crate and Barrel. However, we had to be creative this year with the kids since they are heavy. So we are just using them for decor.

The mantle wreaths that you see here and below are a great decorative piece as well. They’re simple yet, make the home feel cozy when they are all lit at night time.

Finally, we love these Burt’s Bees jammies for Christmas. I’m so excited because I just got matching ones for all of us. The kids are going to love matching with me ;-). They’re so soft and warm, and perfect for chilly Colorado nights.  Can’t wait for the rest of ours to arrive in the mail. I’ll post a pic as soon as they do!

There are so many fun holiday plans coming up and we can’t wait to participate in all of them. This year has been so much fun already. The kids are so into Santa, Phillipe (our Elf), and giving presents. The joy on their faces is something I want to bottle up and remember forever; and it’s so amazing because I know it is just the beginning.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone!
